Specialty Contact Lenses
SK Eyecare offers a line of contact lenses for our unique-fit patients. The Hybrid lens design consists of a central gas-permeable (GP) lens material to provide exceptional clarity and durability, while the outer skirt is made of a soft lens to maintain lasting comfort throughout the day. These specialty lenses are great alternatives for patients who are looking for crisp, high-definition vision that cannot quite be obtained through traditional soft contacts. These include patients who have a moderate to high prescription, astigmatism, or a complex multi-focal prescription.
The Hybrid lenses are also designed for patients with Keratoconus - A progressive disease that leads to the gradual thinning of the corneal surface overtime. Its creative design allows the central hard lens to create a smooth front surface over the irregular cornea and achieve optimal vision as the soft outer skirt ensures long-lasting comfort.
